Spend an overnight in a berber village, prior to descent down the valley to get to village of Ouirgane which is your final destination.

Itinerary

Day 1IMLIL - TIZI M’ZZIK - TIZI OUSSEM

Trek from Imlil valley to Tizi Oussem on a five hour walk which takes you over Tizi M’zzik Mountain pass 2540m and down into the spectacular valley of Azzaden. Spend the night in village of Tizi Oussem (gite). Additional trip to the Ighouliden waterfalls is available after lunch.s

Day 2TIZI OUSSEM - TIZIANE - AZERFSANE - TASSA OUIRGANE - OUIRGANE CENTRE

A downhill walk leading through the nature reserve protecting the barbary sheep. Lunch will be served at a stop off en route to Tassa Ouirgane another hour and half after that and you will arrive in the centre of Ouirgane travelling through olive groves and many berber villages

Recommended trek gear:

  • Good walking boots and socks
  • 3 to 4 season sleeping bag – you can hire them on arrival
  • Comfortable shoes/slippers for camp/guesthouse
  • Walking stick
  • Underwear, Trekking pants, T-shirts
  • Day sack/backpack
  • Lightweight waterproof over-trousers/rain-pants
  • Headtorch/headlamp
  • Basic First Aid Kit
  • Ice axe and crampons (winter)
